Metal to Pop sample / preset pack consists of (detailed description below):

  • 3 Sub Kick samples / Xfer Records Serum presets

Sub Kick Long, Sub Kick Medium, Sub Kick Short

  • 1 Synth Snare sample / Xfer Records Serum preset
  • 1 Sub Bass Xfer Records Serum preset

The first product of its kind! All main components are essential to compete with today's highest quality modern metal, rock and alternative productions and all of their sub-genres. All samples / presets are made and processed in a way to add extra harmonic content and enhance the overall loudness and spectral richness of your main Kick, Snare and Bass without conflicting with any other instruments. They should be used to layer your main drum samples and not replace them. They're made in a way to work well with real drums, real electric bass or vst libraries and will not interfere with the "realistic feel" of the instruments.

THE RESULT YOU'LL GET:

For the first time ever metal, rock and alternative oriented productions can compete with the best current pop productions in the charts. Get your mixes to sound Pop level good!

The reason for that is because a lot of people will claim their samples will work or help your mixes, without demonstrating a finalised product (in this case a released song) that's actually at a level that competes with the best music productions out there.

Samples and Presets analysis (what you'll find):

- Kick Sub Long SAMPLE: With this sample having a "Long" transience it's more suitable for Alternative or Rock music, or even heavier genres which don't have any speedy or fast drum patterns. This sample does not only have a longer decay which allows for the sub frequencies to unfold their full wavelength, but also its attack speed is calculated and calibrated to smoothly deliver tons of low end that will make your kick drum sound massive without it sounding too "boomy" or "overpowering". The sample version is PROCESSED with all the special stuff needed to make it sit right even in a "mastered" mix. Suitable for any genre that uses real kick drums but needs beefing-up and doesn't contain very fast kick patterns. ALL sample are included as 44kHz 16bit and a 96kHz 24bit samples.

- Kick Sub Long PRESET: With this sample having a "Long" transience it's more suitable for Alternative or Rock but also Metal, with its "velocity emulation" function allowing you to use this sample for a bit faster patterns compare to its "sample" version. Can be used for patterns with speed up 8th triplets when velocities are programmed in a careful way.

Kick Sub Medium SAMPLE: Different and shorter transience from the "Long" version, best used for a "tight" type of Metal sub-genres. It's punchier than the "Long" sample but has longer decay than the "Short" sample. Can be used as a main sample instead of the "Long" version and used in combination with the "Short" sample which is best for really fast kick patters with speed starting from 16th notes and faster. Suitable for Metalcore, Deathcore, Hardcore and all extreme sub-genres of metal.

Kick Sub Medium PRESET: Similar to its SAMPLE version with key differences being that all kick presets include "velocity emulation" giving a more "realistic feel" and blending much nicer into the mix, but not being processed in the same way as the sampled files.

Kick Sub Short SAMPLE: This sample should only be used when the other two don't sound suitable or are building up low end nodes because of fast kick patterns.

Kick Sub Short PRESET: This sample has a similar use to its sampled version, again with the key difference in velocity emulation which is a HUGE advantage to have when dealing with fast kick patters.

Snare SAMPLE: This snare sample is designed to give your snare not only sub and low punch to your snare (yes you heard right, transience is specially designed to deliver a huge amount of sub/low frequencies but only for a few milliseconds) but ALSO very controlled high frequencies that will pierce through your mix to make your snare sound more in your face than ever, delivering that "pop" high end. It's specifically designed to blend amazingly with real or vst snares, something you'll find in no other samples or sample libraries.  Use it to layer all the hard hits of your snare, it's not made to work with ghost notes.

Snare PRESET: All the same with its sample version, with the advantage of using this on different pitches. Different pitches change the transience, tightness and overall tone of the snare's lows and low mids, allowing you to find the best suitable tone for your mix.

Sub Bass PRESET: Sub Bass only comes with a Xfer Records Serum preset version allowing you to use every pitch needed. Possibly one of the most innovative presets for it's made to make your low end as thick as possible but also super controlled and ready to play on club speakers! The most challenging part was to deliver as much low end as possible to a super subby register that no other instrument can go, but also be able to have as much attack as possible and unleash the super long wavelengths of the low frequencies as fast as possible, which is needed for the fast metal riffs and breakdowns!

There's no other samples / presets of that kind currently in the market and so it's been a very well kept secret among the top mixing engineers. Until today. Few drum libraries including "triggers" or "one shots" are not made with sound design techniques, but they are rather enhanced, real, recorded drums, or they do not solely focus on getting the maximum "low end / sub" the kick, snare and bass need to stand out. Few bass vsts including sub bass enhancers / exciters, are of very low quality and cannot be controlled separately or in detail. The low end and the control in the transience you can have when the audio is made with advance sound design techniques is unparalleled, and real drums cannot compete that, just because of the nature of acoustics.
